First one is Plague of the Dead, second is Thunder and Ashes, and the third, which comes out in December, is called Survivors. It's, personally, the best zombie series I've ever read. I'm a huge fan of Jonathan Maberry and Max Brooks is amazing too, but ZA is just fantastic.

betterlatethankate asked: I actually recant my last statement. I just remember I read a book awhile ago by ZA Recht that had a group of zombies in a pen in front of their safe house. They used them to spook people away but they also used people on 4 wheelers to lure them towards the protagonists of the book. So, there are other reasons but I don't really see Hershel as the type to use zombies offensively.
